A kink test for two, where only the overlap is shown
Most kink tests score one person and hand back a list of labels with percentages. OurMaybe is a kink test for couples: both of you answer the same questions in private, and the result is the list of things neither of you turned down. Nobody sees what the other said no to.
Why a test for one person doesn't settle much
A solo kink or BDSM test tells you something about yourself: 72 percent this, 40 percent that. It is fun and sometimes clarifying. But a percentage is hard to bring up with a partner, and it says nothing about what they want.
For a couple, the useful result is narrower: which specific things would both of us actually like to try? That is a question about two sets of answers, and it can be answered without either person showing theirs.
How the couples test works
- Choose a level. Warm stays with kissing, touch and first wishes. Hot adds mouths, toys and taking the lead. Everything adds restraints, spanking, anal play and fantasies.
- Answer 24 to 109 short lines. Yes, maybe, or no. Giving and receiving are asked separately, because they are different wishes.
- Your partner does the same. Through a private link, on their own phone, without seeing your answers.
- You both get the overlap. A plain list, grouped by theme. No score, no ranking, no label.
What the test covers
Ten themes, from mild to bold. You can stop at any level.
Closeness
- Kiss for a long time without it having to lead anywhere
- Fall asleep naked, wrapped around each other
Words
- Tell each other what you find most attractive about the other
- Send each other flirty texts in the middle of the day
Hands & mouths
- Make out on the couch like teenagers, clothes on
- Kiss each other's neck and shoulders
Senses
- Candles, music, and enough time
- Feed each other something sweet with your fingers
Places
- Somewhere in the house that isn't the bed
Just talk
- Tell each other about a dream that was better than expected
What it doesn't do
It doesn't diagnose, rank or name you. It doesn't tell you what is normal. It also doesn't show a partner which of their wishes you declined, which is the reason people answer it honestly.
If you'd rather read the full range first, the kink list shows the themes in the open. For something lighter, Date Night uses the same mechanic for evenings out and trips.
Questions people ask
- Is this a BDSM test?
- Partly. The Everything level includes restraints, spanking and power play, but the list starts much milder. It is built for two people to compare, not to score one person.
- Do I get a percentage or a type?
- No. The result is the list of things you both said yes or maybe to. There are no percentages and no labels.
- Does it work for same-sex couples?
- Yes. The lines are written without assuming anyone's gender or body, and giving and receiving are asked separately for both of you.
- Is it anonymous?
- There is no account and no email. You enter two first names so the lines read naturally. Answers are stored encrypted with a secret that only exists in your link, and deleted after 30 days.
- How long does it take?
- About three minutes at the Warm level and about ten for Everything, per person.
